Yellow Boomerang Rejuvenates Old Microsoft based PCs

I don’t normally stray too far from blogging on topics pertinent to eDiscovery.  However, a good friend of mine has started a very interesting company called Yellow Boomerang that enables the life of old PCs (desktops and laptops) to be extended by wiping them clear of Microsoft software (sounds theapudic) and loading them up with Linux based software.  It’s a great idea and one that should be of interest to the audience that reads this blog.
Here’s the idea behind the company:
Tired of the rapid decline of their personal computers, the founders of Yellow Boomerang set about finding an economical and environmental way to boost performance. An alternative to just trashing the old pc and exchanging it for a new one. An alternative to “out with the old, in with the new” thinking. An alternative that would save people money and save our planet's resources.
They landed on a simple concept. Instead of throwing out seemingly exhausted personal computer equipment, why not simply fix it and make it run better. Eliminate the years of spyware, malware and viruses which have impacted pc performance , and install the latest Linux operating system. Provide training and the latest applications so that users are productive right away.
Well, that’s Yellow Boomerang. An IT Services company that aims to change your view on that old PC. We’ve been trained to view that tired box as an exhausted friend who has seen better days. It need not be this way. Your old PC has life and we can unlock its potential. Explore our services and let us get you on your way to a better PC experience.
