The technologies that "caught my eye" and therefore where I ended up spending the majority of my time fit into the following categories: (1) Early Case Assessment (ECA) solutions, (2) security, (3) cloud computing and Software-as-as-Service (SaaS) offerings, the new generation of search technologies (with de-duping, near de-duping and email threading); and case management.
Later this week, I will provide a more in-depth overview of what I saw and what I think. However, my preliminary impression is that Early Case Assessment (ECA) solutions delivered via the Internet with aggressive consumption based pricing carried that day. At least for anyone that is concerned about reducing the overall cost of eDiscovery.
